Box and kit

Mongrel RDA arrives in a transparent box, the only interesting thing is the code to verify originality:

The kit for the drip is not bad, you can run “out of the box” because there is a normal coil and even some absorbent cotton of some kind. ecig canada The glass dome is especially fun to look at, there will still be problems with it:

Completion

In the box specifically of our version lies:

o-rings

absorbent cotton and coil

2 blowing nozzles

spare screws

glass dome

hexes for pin and screws

Base

There are 4 screws, despite the single-coil design, so you can put the coil legs in any direction. But first we need to put in the nozzle of blowing, let’s start with the “underblown”, it just plugs into the o-ring, it sits very well:

The “grille” nozzle

There are small posts on the nozzle (jets), they also direct the flow, not letting it scatter from the coil, and you can pull the nozzle out by them, if you have nails:

Very comfortable driptip, catches splashes, apparently thanks to the constriction, however this constriction collects an ugly drop:

at high power the flavor is good, the coil stands high and Mongrel RDA pulls out bright notes, it’s a characteristic flavor of a highly raised winding, everything is excellent. There is also a noticeable TX, very unusual combination of “bright flavor + TX”, and the driptip catches the splash very well. In general, the flavor is excellent, but only on condition of high power and with a large blowing.

There is a nuance with refilling: Damn Vape Mongrel RDA is supposed to be filled from the top through the driptip, but right under the coil is a huge blowing window. The airflow channels themselves are raised, so you can pour liquid from the top, it does not leak, but during the review there was a leak once – you can’t tilt the drip when refilling. Also after refilling you have all chances to get drunk with liquid on the first puff.

There are 2 solutions: make the first puff carefully, so that the liquid from the ducts blew out into the tub, or pour “at an angle”, that is, pour past the airflow, sideways, on the cotton. In general, there is a little dancing with a tambourine, refueling is not the most convenient.

Pros

Damn Vape Mongrel RDA can give a very good flavor, if you experiment with nozzles and, in our case, pile the power up to 80 watts minimum (and this is a single-aspirator, in case you forgot). At the same time there is a noticeable TX, uncharacteristic for single-aspirals, and the puff on the sound and smoothness (with a large blowing) pleases. In general, my impressions are positive, tasty, cool, I really like the shape of the driptip and the complete absence of splashes even at high power.

I like the quality of metal workmanship, very happy with the o-rings, at least the new ones – both the dome and the blowers sit very well, for the skirt you can pull the dual-battery mod out of your pocket, 9 out of 10 times you will get everything together.

Quite easy to put winding, good screws, there are 4 of them, there is a groove for the frame, laying cotton is elementary. Underneath it all is a good tub, really big and contiguous, almost a bacodrip.

Last thing: good bundling. The glass dome is cool looking until you break it, the coil included is also nice, screws, pins, o-ring… everything is in place except the screwdriver for the pin.

Cons

The piece of glass in the dome is no good, it shouldn’t be like that, check the glass dome, poke your fingers into its blow holes, you won’t see a piece of glass there because it’s transparent. By the way, with a glass dome can be a marriage, in which it is wider or on the contrary less than the base, as a consequence, it flies off or does not fit. This is common for glass domes.

Mongrel requires a huge coil with a minimum of 3.5 mm mandrel, and even better something thicker in the thickness of the glass dome.
