In this article, I will share my impressions of the new Tsunami Pro RDA dripper and Black Ring Plus mech mod, another attempt by Geekvape to release its own setup of an atomizer and mech.

Packaging and accessories of the Tsunami Mech Kit from Geekvape

As in the case of one of the latest products from the “Geeks”, the box has an incredible number of all kinds of branded protection against counterfeiting: seals, ribbons, holograms, scratch strips. All possible inscriptions and warnings are in their places, there is even the familiar The Ultimate Mechanical Mod Kit, where last time. Only the most important thing is missing: a description of the characteristics and a list of contents. nicotine liquide pure canada An interesting observation: if you look at the recess of the window on the lid of the box, you can easily guess the silhouette of not the complete Tsunami Pro RDA, but its predecessor – Karma RDA / RDTA. The household Geekvape used old blanks to produce boxes for the new kit.

The Tsunami Mech Kit from Geekvape comes with:

Tsunami Mech Kit (Tsunami Pro RDA dripper and Black Ring Plus mech mod)

User manual (including “Chinese” Russian)

Replacement 510 connector with a spring-loaded pin

Adapter for 510 drip tip (without the drip tip itself)

Package with spare parts and additional accessories

Under the cover is the assembled setup, just above is a replaceable connector with a spring-loaded pin for safe use of any atomizers and a replaceable drip cap for 510 drip tip. The zip bag contains a T-shaped screwdriver, O-rings for the drip and drain of the mech mod, spare screws and a replaceable pin for using the Tsunami Pro RDA on squonks. It would be great to see a couple of coils from the manufacturer and a spare screw for the mech mod button here.

Appearance of the Geekvape Tsunami Mech Kit

If in the previous case the mech mod was equipped with a Karma RDA/RDTA atomizer with side airflow, this time the release of the setup was marked by the simultaneous release of a redesigned hit from a Chinese manufacturer – a happy buyer is greeted in the box by the Tsunami Pro RDA (aka Tsunami 25). No transformations into “drip tanks” await us, and for this we would like to say only thanks to the manufacturer. As in the previous set, both the mod and the atomizer have a diameter of 25 mm.

Color options for the Tsunami Mech Kit

The manufacturer currently offers four versions of its kit: copper (with an acrylic drain), brass, cracked gold and painted gold (metal drains). I got my hands on the “brass” version with a single-color black drain.

Tsunami Pro RDA (Tsunami 25 RDA)

The new Tsunami Pro RDA is the fifth in the Geekvape portfolio, some design features have been used since the very first version (I still enjoy using it myself), some from other versions, and some we see here for the first time. The dome now has a deep Tsunami engraving, the entire upper part of the dome has changed. The coating of the black version is very similar to the paint of the Karma RDA / RDTA, which, unlike the old versions of the “Tsunami”, still peels off over time. Perhaps I’m wrong, and the coating will be more durable here.

Tsunami Pro RDA Specifications

Material: stainless steel (copper in the copper set, gold-plated base)

Diameter: 25mm

Height with a standard wide drip tip: 36.5mm

Height with an adapter for a 510 drip tip: 27mm

Possibility of using two or one coil

Bottom adjustable airflow

510 connector

One of the most important differences from all previous drippers of the series is the change in the dome. Now there is a wide delrin drip tip, covering the entire upper part. Of course, the appearance of the atomizer with such a step turned out to be “for an amateur”, but what cannot be ignored is that using such a solution is very comfortable, since the entire upper part of the dome practically does not heat up. Both covers are held on only one o-ring and are easily removed, have a spherical treatment inside, the diameter of the landing hole for them is 20 mm.

Tsunami Pro RDA Dome

The great news is the increased thickness of the skirt walls, now they are about 1.5 mm in the central part (where the coils are located), the drip has become noticeably cooler. In the lower part there are three familiar oval holes for adjusting the airflow, you can use two or one coil as before.

Positive pin of Tsunami Pro RDA

The positive pin of the connector protrudes by a whole millimeter, but the number of threads has become too small, in previous versions the negative part was longer. But there were no problems with the tested mods for all this time, the atomizer holds firmly.

Tsunami Pro RDA base Tsunami Pro RDA bath Tsunami Pro RDA airflow

Here are all the same slightly modified velocity posts that Geekvape used in Tsunami 24 Plus. The combined post is designed to increase the volume of the liquid bath. The airflow remained the same lower, but in the new version of the atomizer there are no longer familiar tubes, now these are holes in the base, the same diameter of 3 mm.

Tsunami Pro RDA winding

For winding, I used small fused clapton at 2.5 mm (0.17 Ohm), because According to previous experience, Tsunami has never required any mind-blowing coils for good flavor transfer, even micro coils made of thick wire or parallel coils do a great job. In principle, it has remained so, the outer diameter of the base is only 22 mm, the internal volume has practically not increased compared to previous versions, in this regard, the atomizer is no different from previous drippers.

Geekvape Black Ring Plus Mech Mod (Tsunami Mech Mod)

The Black Ring Plus has undergone many more changes, not only external, but also internal, i.e. design. There is no trace left of the cute mech mod with a spiral pattern, now it is a pipe with a replaceable connector and drains, even the button inside has been completely redesigned.

Black Ring Plus Specifications

Height with safe connector: 96.5mm

Black Ring Plus mech mod

The entire mech mod consists of four main parts: a removable connector, a pipe, a drain (sleeve) and a button.

The connector in the Black Ring Plus is no longer one piece with the body, but has become removable, and you can now install a safe 510 with a spring-loaded pin in place of the hybrid one installed out of the box. Both connectors have a plastic insulator inside, which prevents the battery from coming into contact with the body. The removable parts are attached to the body of the pipe using fine threads, and even out of the box it looks unpresentable.

Impressions and conclusions

The entire Tsunami Mech Kit setup was in use for about a week, the impressions were quite mixed. It is probably worth talking separately about the atomizer and battery block, since the opinion about each of them is different.

Geekvape Tsunami (22mm) and Tsunami 25Tsunami Pro RDA can be called an evolutionary product, i.e. there are no drastic changes here, except, perhaps, the upper part of the dome, where the top cap has settled. The wide drip tip made the appearance of the old familiar “Tsunami” a little unusual. Whether you like this solution visually or not depends only on you. But from a practical point of view, the advantages are undeniable. If desired, you can quite easily look for some kind of chafcap/cupcake for a 20mm landing hole.
